HOW TO TURN A COMPUTER OFF

It’s only a good habit to have a
computer turned off after use; a good habit that leads to the durability of your computer device. So, this post will teach you how to turn a computer off.

STEPS

• Ensure all windows are closed by clicking on the ‘X’ sign(s) at the top right corner of the window(s). 

Pay attention to the arrow on the image above on how to close windows. 

• Click the start button on the bottom left corner of the computer as seen in the image next. 

• Click on shut down button. Or, make use of the Alt + F4 keyboard keys to close all open windows and to perform computer shut down. To do this; press the Alt key first with your thumb and immediately press the F4 key with the middle finger and you will be presented with a pop-up window with a question: “what do you want to do?” 

• Make sure the appropriate option is selected. Click on the ‘OK’ button. Wait for computer to shut down. 

Computer completely shuts down when the above method is followed if it is a laptop. Desktop will still require its monitor’s power button to be pushed and its cables unplugged from power source to avoid accidental damage.
